MAT Exam Pattern Syllabus Analysis Papers Guide Books

MAT Exam Pattern: MAT Exam consists of following five test sections. MAT is conducted in 2 and half hours time and each five section consists of 40 marks each. Questions are multiple-choice objective type questions.

1) Language Comprehension
(comprises 40 Questions in 30 minutes)

2) Mathematical Skills

(comprises 40 Questions in 40 minutes)

3) Data Analysis and Sufficiency
(comprises 40 Questions in 35 minutes)

4) Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
(comprises 40 Questions in 30 minutes)

5) Indian and Global Environment
(comprises 40 Questions in 15 minutes)

About Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), New Delhi performs a Management Aptitude Test (MAT) every year since 1988 on national basis in September, December, February and May respectively. The Government of India has accepted MAT as National Entrance Test to get admission for MBA and counterpart programs. The Institutes who offer recognized PG management programs in related fields can take part in MAT. MAT is required to get admission in courses like Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology & Management (PGDITM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and counterpart programs presented by All India Management Association (AIMA-CME) and other Management Institutions. Centre for Management Education (CME) is the educational wing of AIMA and was established in the year1993 as full-grown independent business school. All management institutes which take part in MAT are either AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) accepted or allied to universities.

AIMA-CME gives different programs to go well with the requirements of different management levels. To name a few, Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology & Management (PGDITM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). MAT score is needed to get admission in both the programs. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) also gives specializations in subjects like Finance, HR, International Business, Insurance Management, Marketing and Operations. PGDITM also gives 3 specializations in E-Commerce, Information Systems Management and IT Marketing.

AIMA-CME also offers other programs like Advanced Diploma Programs (ADPs), Advanced Diploma Programs in IT (ADPs), Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) and 1-year Professional Diploma Programs (PDs).

Eligibility

The minimum requirement to appear in MAT is any discipline graduation from a recognized University or counterpart. Final year student from any undergraduate course like B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Tech etc can also submit an application. Generally the graduation minimum percentage requirement differs for different universities and management institutes but, there is no limit of percentages about taking the MAT test. Also no experience required with no age bar.
