NDA Examination Pattern:
NDA Exam consists of Written Test and Interview. If you could secure good rank, you will be called for Interview. Interview is conducted by Services Selection Board (SSB)

Total Marks in NDA Entrance Examination:
UPSC NDA Written Test : 900 Marks
SSB NDA Interview : 900 Marks

Interview is conducted by SSB tests your psychology, physical fitness, team-spirit etc.

NDA Exam written test:
Ther eare two papers in NDA Exam written test, i.e. Paper 1 Mathematics, Paper 2 Part A English and Part B General Ability.
Paper 1 consists of 300 marks and Paper 2 consists of 700 marks (English 300 marks and General Ability 400 marks)

NDA Exam duration is 2 and 1/2 hours for each paper.

Paper 2 has 6 sections:
Physics : 100 marks
Chemistry : 60 marks
General Science : 40 marks
History, Freedom Movement etc. : 80 marks
Geography : 80 marks
Current Events : 40 marks

There is negative marking for wrong answers also. For each wrong answer one third of the marks will be deducted. Also you need to have pencil and an eraser in the examination hall.

Naval Academy (NA) Examination

UPSC (union public service commission) is conducting the Naval Academy exam. The is the exam which is conducted for the candidates who want the admission to the army, and Air Force wings of the NDA.

The vacancy is filled on the basis of the results of the exam and the number of total vacancy is 335 which include 195 seats for the Army, 66 seats for the Air force and the 35 seats are for the executive branch of Naval Academy.

There is some variations in the vacancy availability as per the training capacity of national defence academy.  The candidates have to specify the services in which he is interested in the application form. AS many as the candidates preferred courses are selected by the candidate.

The candidates can get the details information of the exam in the internet. The eligibility conditions are there for giving this exam and it are the age must be more than 18 years and not more than this. Other one is that, unmarried male candidates are allowed to give this exam.

The certain certificates like birth certificate, school leaving certificate are required which are to be submitted but after the declaration of the result of the written examination.  Any other documents are accepted.
The Educational Qualifications required by the candidate to appear in this exam are Army wing of National Defence Academy, the candidate must be 12th  pass of School Education or equivalent examination is conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For admission in Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Course at the Naval Academy the candidate must be 12th Class pass in pattern of School Education or equivalent course with Physics and Mathematics which is conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
