Punjab Police invites applications from male and female for recruitment of Constables in Punjab District Police and Armed Police Cadres.
Candidate can apply from : 1st March, 2010

1) District Police Cadres – Male
Total No. of Positions = 1214
2) Armed Police Cadres – Male
Total No. of Positions = 1533
3) District Police Cadres – Female
Total No. of Positions = 97
4) Armed Police Cadres – Female
Total No. of Positions = 194
Total Vacancies = 3038
Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs.5910-20200/- and Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/-
How to Apply for Punjab Police Constables Vacancy:
Candidate should send application form completely filled in along with all necessary documents / certificates. Application must reach the below office:
The Chairman,
Central Recruitment Board,
PAP Campus, Jalandhar Cant
Eligibility : Minimum qualification required is 10+2 in any discipline or equivalent
It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject. However,in case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum education qualification will be
matriculation.
Age Eligibility : (i) Candidate should be between 18 to 25 years as on 1st January,2010,Relaxation as per rules.
Selection Process: Selection process would comprise of three phases:
A) Physical Measurement
B) Physical Efficiency
C) Interview
Application Forms: Candidates can obtain application form by paying Rs 100/- on all workign days from the below offices:
i) Office of the Senior Superintendents of Police in all districts of Punjab.
ii) Commandant, 13th Bn., PAP, Chandigarh (Back side Civil Secretariat, Punjab,
Chandigarh).
Candidate can also download application forms from Punjab Police Website www.punjabpoliceindia.org
Completed application forms along with DD of Rs 100/- in favour of
"Chairman, Central Recruitment Board, PAP Campus, Jalandhar Cantt, (payable at Jalandhar.
The candidate must write her Name and Address at the back side of the Bank Draft in capital letters.
