Paper-I (Objective Type)
This exam consists of 140 marks and duration is 2 hours.
Reasoning Ability.

English Language (Grammar and vocabulary).
You can appear in the above first three sections either in Hindi or in English
Paper-II (Descriptive Type)
This exam consists of 50 marks and duration is 2 hours.
Essay writing.
Precis writing & Comprehension.
Paper-II is of qualifying test and you must pass this paper though marks obtained in this test will not be counted for merit list.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)
The history goes back to five decades, when Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) started functioning and it is since then that this corporation has built the name of TRUST. LIC has constantly worked to be a part of millions of lives throughout India in every nook and corner irrespective of caste and creed. It has valued its customers with great magnitude of responsibility and realized the importance and value of lives of millions of people associated with it.
On 1st September, 1956 Life Insurance Corporation of India was ventured to cover life insurance widely with special treatment to rural area and an objective to establish financial base on affordable prices to all insurable people throughout the country. With 212 branches and 5 zonal offices LIC started working on the long term contracts to cover life of insurable people adding variety of services and progressed by opening large number of branches and increasing its business in volumes i.e. 200 crore in 1956-57 to 1000 crore in 1969-70 and then 2000 crore in 1979-80. Then came the phase of early eighties when LIC re-organized its functions and it crossed the barrier of 7000 crore in 1985-86 (the figures are the amount received on sum assured on new policies).
LIC has dominated the world of life insurance in India even now when life insurance sector has been liberalized and various private sector companies are also offering life insurance covers to all insurable people across the country. Today with more than 2100 fully computerized branches, 7 zonal offices LIC has tied up with several Service providers and leading banks for online collection of premiums throughout India.
The unprecedented performance of LIC has created records and has done justice to the thought by which LIC was brought into existence as this corporation has not only crossed numerous milestones in the business of life insurance but also helped people by establishing security to their families.
