Public Service Commission, West Bengal invites application form for recruitment to the vacancies in West Bengal Judicial Service.
West Bengal Judicial Service Examination is held in three stages:
1) Preliminary Examination
2) Final Examination and
3) Personality Test
West Bengal Judicial Service Exam Pattern:
In Preliminary Examination : Multiple Choice Objective Type
In Final Examination : Conventional Type – Written
Pay Scale : Rs.9000 – 14550/- plus allowances as admissible.
Total Number of Vacancies = 35
Out of 35 posts, 23 are Unreserved, 02 for BC, 03 for SC, ST – 02+04*=06, and PH - 01
* 04 vacancies reserved for S.T. for the year 2008 are carried forward.
Educational Qualification :
Graduate degree in law from any recognised university or institution affiliated to a University recognized by the State Government or the Central Government. Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali ( not required for recruitment in the case of candidates from hill areas of the district of Darjeeling ).
Age Eligibility: Candidate should not be less than 23 years and not more than 35 years on the date of advertisement for the exam. Date of Advertisement is 5th March, 2010. (i.e. born not earlier than 5th March 1975 and not later than 4th March, 1987
Application Form along with other required documents/certificates should reach by 5th April, 2010.
