Bank of India (BOI) Probationary Officers Recruitment 2010 Notification
Bank of India invites application for recruitment of Probationary Officer (PO) for which the bank has published recruitment. Written Examination will be held on 31st October 2010 and online registration closes on 31st August 2010

About Bank of India
Bank of India Banking system in India has originated from 18th century itself as a part of trading and small scale business encouraged by Europeans who tried to flourish their establishment in India, since 1809 or more than year banking came into era. The name Bank of India has started by other three personalities but unable to succeed the project, later Indian diversified people gave the name Bank of India in 7th September 1906, bank has opened according to the interest of community people. Bank of India blossom in Bombay by the help of eminent personalities, the bank was firstly initiated and run by Sassoon J. David with other first board members of the bank were Lalubhai Samaldas, J. Cowasjee Jehangir, Sir Frederick Leigh Croft, Sir Cowasjee Jehangir, Khetsety Khiasey, Ramnarain Hurnundrai, Jenarrayen Hindoomull Dani, Ratanjee Dadabhoy Tata, Gordhandas Khattau, Noordin Ebrahim Noordin with great spirit by making head office at Bombay. Doing all commercial operations was not that much easy during that time, with full dedication they showed better days by bringing their branch in London during 1946, first Indian bank to open overseas branch.
Bank of India is public bank, government of India approved as nationalised bank on July 1969 with other thirteen banks then later on bank has got lots of opportunity to set up their various branches in Africa and other major countries, now total it consist of 3101 branches and 48 zonal offices with computerized facility and ATM services. Bank of India initiated Small Industries development by bank of India in April 1990 according to Indian parliament act and Bank is promoting on all areas on financing,housing, technology and assistance to small scale industries. Shri Alok kumar misra who is currently leading Bank of India who is in charge of bank more than one year has given major growth to bank.
