Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management (SVPISTM) is an autonomous Institute under Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. This is the only premier Textile Management specialty Institute in the country. It is fully funded by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. This Institute is in A+ ranking among the Management Institute in the country as per the Business India’s Survey.
The institute is offering two full time courses, namely (a) Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Textile) and (b) Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Apparel). The Institute has been recognized as a Textile Management Research Centre by Bharathiar University and offers Full Time/ Part Time M.Phil. / Ph.D in Management / Textile Management.
The Institute wishes to recruit the following positions.
Financial Controller / Registrar
SVPISTM invites applications for the position of Financial Controller / Registrar, in the scale of pay of PB4 – 37400 – 67000 + (Grade pay 8900) on Contract / Deputation basis initially for a period of three years and renewable on mutual agreement.
1. Minimum Qualification & Experience: The applicants must be a qualified C.A./A.C.S./M.B.A. (Finance) graduate with first class, minimum 15 years experience in Administrative Experience / Auditing / Finance, out of which eight years as Deputy Registrar / ten years as Assistant Registrar or comparable experience in research establishments, institutions of Central Government or Central Autonomous Institutions.
2. Desirable: (i) Ph.D in Finance or equivalent (ii) Considerable experience in Financial and Accounts Management and capacity to lead the administration in a Central Governmental Institution (iii) Proven experience in excellent human relations and successful personnel management, industrial relations, campus management and other aspects of administration, preferably in a large educational or Central Government Institution. All-round ability to co-ordinate and lead a team of officers with varied expertise.
3. General Conditions: (i) The upper age limit is 57 years of age. (ii) The appointment will be on Deputation/Contract basis for 3 Years or till the age of 60 Years, which ever is earlier (iii) The appointment can be renewed for another term for eligible cases. (iv) Besides the pay & allowances, leave, medical facilities etc shall be admissible as per rules. (v) The prescribed qualifications are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her to be called for interview. (vi) The Institute deserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis or qualifications and experience, higher than those prescribed in this advertisement. ((vii) Person serving in Central Government departments, Central Autonomous organizations, may also apply through proper channel, for appointment on deputation (viii) Any disputes with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to the provision in the SVPISTM Act and Statues.(ix) Last date for receipt of application form is 1st August 2010. (x) Canvassing in any form, bringing any influence political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
4. Job Description: As per the SVPISTM rules, the Financial Controller / Registrar is required to provide administrative/financial support to the Director and may be called upon to take up any other duties as assigned by the Director.
5.
