AIEEE Exam Pattern Format Online Sample Papers AIEEE Paper Anlysis solved question paper Mock Test question paper

Candidates must go through exam Pattern Sample Papers Previous years solved question papers. Students must prepare in a systematic way and study previous years question papers for an idea for the real exam. Online Mock test and online sample question papers will also help you in building your confidence for the AIEEE Exam.

AIEEE is conducted for Engineering (leading to B.E/B.Tech degree course) and Architecture/Planning streams leading to B.Arch/B. Planning degree course).

AIEEE Exam Pattern/Format :

There are two paper:

Paper 1 for Engineering

Paper 2 for Architecture/Planning

AIEEE Paper 1

If you want to study BE or BTech course then you must appear for AIEEE Paper 1. The paper consists of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Duration: 3 hours, from 9:30 to 12:30

Negative 1/4th mark for each wrong question, you must be very careful while answering the questions.

AIEEE Paper 2

If you want to study B.Arch. or B. Planning course then you must appear for AIEEE Paper 2.

The paper consists of three part like Part I, Part II and Part III

Part I consists of Mathematics of Objective type questions

Part II consists of Aptitude Test of Objective type questions

Part III consists of Drawing Test of Two questions to test drawing aptitude

Both the AIEEE Paper 1 and Paper 2 are conducted on the same day.

About AIEEE

All India Engineering Entrance Exam known as AIEEE is organized by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. The exam was introduced in 2002 for competing on national level to get admission for under-graduate engineering and architecture courses. By cracking this examination, student can get admission in 20 esteemed NITs.

Subjects of the exam depend upon the faculty for which student is opting. If student is opting for B.Tech then he is presented with physics, chemistry and mathematics. Student who has selected B.Arch is presented with mathematics and aptitude test. Each year maximum marks and number off question vary but however equal weightage is given to each subject. Each year examination is held on last Sunday of April and results are announced in May.

Candidates appearing for AIEEE ranked on all India basis and state basis. They are provided with All India Rank and State Rank. Each year nearly one million student appear for exam and very few get qualify for central counseling. Due to large number of students appearing for AIEE it has become more competitive than JEE on quantitative basis.

In previous years, counseling procedure was carried out by Central Counseling Board at New Delhi. From now onwards this counseling sessions will be handled by NITs. This decision was taken in response to special request by NIT’s director to MHRD. The method is every year director of NIT will work as a chairman of the Central Board. He will work in association of directors of other institutes.

In the same fashion of JEE pattern, all NITs will conduct the AIEEE examination on rotation basis. It will be effective from 2010. Last year nearly 962,000 students appeared for examination across 1460 centers across India and International centers situated at Dubai and Riyadh. Success rate of this examination quiet resembles with that of JEE.
