The Entrance Examination will be held on 13th February, 2011 (Sunday) between 10 am and 1 pm.
Prescribed closing date for receipt of completed application: 03rd January, 2011 (5.00 p.m)
Entrance examination: 13th February, 2011 (10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.)
Display of merit list on or before: 19th February, 2011
First counseling: 18th /19th March, 2011
Commencement of course: 1st April, 2011
Eligibility:
ESSENTIAL:
(a) Nationality Applicant must be a Resident Indian National.
(b) Educational The candidates must possess MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
(c) Experience Must have either completed or due to complete One Year Internship (Rotatory Houseman ship) training by 31st March 2011*.
[Candidates likely to complete internship by 31-03-2011 only can take up the Entrance Examination. No Accommodation of Compulsory Rotating Internship beyond this date shall be accepted].
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: The Entrance Examination for admission to MD/MS Courses April 2011 Session is scheduled to be conducted at the following centers:
1. Chennai,
2. Hyderabad,
3. Kolkata,
4. New Delhi,
5. Pondicherry.
Candidates are required to exercise their option for one centre only in the scan able/online Application Form. The candidate should indicate their choice of center after due care and thought. The Institute reserves the right to allot the venue/center which will be final and binding. The option once exercised is Final. Change of centre will not be permitted. Under extraordinary circumstances a candidate may submit a letter for change of centre to DEAN, JIPMER on or before 07-01-2011 (Friday). In case of any unforeseen circumstances the center can be cancelled at any point of time and a new center can be allotted en bloc with due intimation in newspapers/website.
