Finance/Business Manager – Pearson India Shared Operations based in Delhi
Education Requirements - Qualified Accountant

Job
Profile:
This is a key finance role within Pearson India Shared Operations and
reports to the AVP Finance & Business Services, Pearson India Shared
Operations.

To ensure, that at all times, the financial position of the India
Shared Operation group is being reported accurately; to manage the
reporting, planning & forecasting process. To ensure the appropriate
control environment exists and is adhered to across the division and
ensuring the division is in compliance with company policies &
procedures.

To provide financial support and guidance to the division in making
appropriate operational, commercial and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation, reporting & management of the monthly P&L for the India
Shared Operations.

Preparation & coordination of the Budgeting and Forecasting process.
Provision of financial analysis and reports on the performance of the
Group.

Support the Operations Head of 3PL costing and distribution cost.
Coordinate inventory management requirements for the division
working with Inventory team.

Provide data and analysis to the OpCo as required.
Review Financial, & Operational processes to help identify
efficiencies for the division.

Review, remediate and where required implement financial controls in
the group.

Manage Internal & External Audits.
Support AVP & SVP initiatives and projects.
The role does not carry line-management responsibility.

Key Skills and requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills with experience of working as a business
partner.

Strong commercial awareness.
Self starter with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Solid accounting experience, including: financial reporting, control
and audit and also financial management, planning and analysis.
As this role is within an international and multi-cultural division
a global approach is essential.


Royalty Contract Administrator based in Delhi

Qualification: CS / LLB

Job Profile:
Interaction with other teams: Pearson Shared operations
Group
(US), PT Group (US).
Analyzing royalty information.
Extracting and inputting information into royalty
accounting system.
Timely production of royalty statements.

Key Skills and requirements:
Accounting, Analytical & Organizational Skills.
PC Proficient /Microsoft Word & Excel/Outlook.
Some Access or Business Objects knowledge helpful.
Ability to write Sequel (SQL) queries a plus.
Effective English Language skills – oral, written and
comprehension.

SAP Experience helpful not mandatory.

Operations Executive based at the Warehouse in Sahibabad

Job Profile:
Handle queries.
Order processing.
Handle claims for short supply/unsold stock/defective &
damages copies.
Stock management- Cycle count, Stock qty entered in
System, Ad-hoc movement
To be responsible for cycle count the stock on daily
basis and necessary ad hoc movement should be done in system.
To be responsible for co-ordinate with warehouse.
Responsible for processing credit note for Short
supply/defective& damages copies.
Will take extensive load of computing (data entry) which
is required for stock in, credit note processing, pick slips confirmation.

Key Skills and requirements:
Graduate
Ability to handle customer's query.
Should have good working knowledge of MS office


Promotion Executive- Based in Delhi

Job Profile:
Assisting Product/Marketing Managers in creating various
marketing collaterals and catalogues.
Executing requisitions, correspondence and office routine tasks
required by promotions and marketing department
Regular and timely dispatch for all promotional material and
updating the mailing lists
Regular filing of reviews, author and media correspondence,
print promo, publicity plans and all other relevant publicity material
Assisting with Pearson India events including book launches,
book fairs and exhibitions
Interacting effectively with the media and authors as required

Key Skills and requirements:
Should be a graduate in English (hons.) or mass communication.
Excellent command over English Language.
Knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.


Assistant/Associate Commissioning Editor - Engineering, Mathematics,
Science & Management-Based in Delhi & Chennai for Higher Education
Division

To commission and publish a portfolio of distinctive textbooks and
innovative media products in Pearson Education's well-established
Engineering, Science and Mathematics (ESM) textbook programme.
Incumbent will be responsible for managing a significant product
portfolio and the development of new books and electronic media
publishing in established areas of the list.

Key Responsibilities:

Agree a publishing plan and commissioning priorities
with the Product Development Director.

Achieve signings targets in line with the publishing plan.

Work with Marketing and Sales teams to achieve sales
targets
.

Help drive list strategy, planning and financial
management of the ESM programme.

Champion and monitor front-list and backlist performance.

Work with authors and colleagues to ensure high quality
and timely publications.

Work with Editorial, Online Development and Custom
colleagues to develop and deliver high quality, timely media and
custom-published products and services.

Key Skills and requirements:
Previous commissioning experience is not a requirement but the
successful candidate is likely to have at least two years' experience
in an editorial development, marketing or sales role, and will have a
record of accomplishment and be able to demonstrate the right
qualities to take on this exciting role on a well-established list.
