RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT:
The candidate in the Unreserved / General Category should have completed as on 01.11.2010, the Minimum & Maximum Age as indicated in Para 1 above.

Age: The Minimum and Maximum Age, including the Age with Relaxation, will be reckoned as of 01.11.2010.

PROBATION PERIOD: The selected candidate will be on Probation for a period of 6 months of active service from the date of his / her joining the Bank.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION / TEST:
(A) Objective Test – 200 Questions - 200 Marks (Duration: Composite 95 Minutes)

Test of Reasoning: 50 questions carrying 75 marks.
Test of Numerical Ability: 50 questions carrying 75 marks.
Test of General Awareness: 50 questions carrying 50 marks.
Test of English Language**: **50 questions carrying 50 marks
Composite 95 Minutes Duration: 200 questions carrying 200 marks.

(B) Objective Test on Computer Knowledge - One paper - 50 Marks (Duration: 30 Minutes)
In addition to the Objective Test assessing aptitude, there will be one more Objective Test on Computer Knowledge comprising 50 Marks, consisting of compulsory questions to assess the computer knowledge of the candidate. The minimum passing marks will be 50% (45% for Reserved Category). The Marks scored by the candidate will rank for Merit Ranking.

THERE WILL BE PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS MARKED IN THE OBJECTIVE TEST WHICH WILL RESULT IN NEGATIVE MARKS FOR EVERY WRONG ANSWER @ ONE-FOURTH OR 0.25 OF THE MARKS ASSIGNED TO THAT QUESTION. If the total of the penalty for a test is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW.
A Personal Interview of 50 marks shall be conducted to assess the candidates’ academic record, power of expression, clarity of thought, qualities of leadership, extra curricular activities, hobbies, general demeanour, behaviour, communication skills, etc. The minimum qualifying marks for the Personal Interview would be 50% marks (45% marks for Reserved Category Candidates).

The Written Examination/Test will be tentatively held on 06.02.2011 at the Examination Centres indicated below. The full address of the Examination Venue at the Examination Centre will be advised in the Examination Call Letters. The Examination Call Letter will be despatched to the prima-facie eligible candidates, based on the information provided in the On-Line Application, by Post , well in advance of the date of written examination to reach tentatively by 01.02.2011 at the correspondence address given by the candidate in the Application Form.

Union Bank PO Exam Pattern : The Union Bank PO Examination objective type tests consists of following:

1) Aptitude Test: Aptitude Test consists of papers like Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness & English Language.
The test consists of 225 questions which carry 200 marks and to be answered in 135 minutes. The English test is of qualifying nature.

About United Bank of India

A brief history
This Bank was created in the year 1950 through an amalgamation process of four very old banks those were functioning in different parts of undivided India. Thus the origin of the bank might be considered as old as 1914-1915. At the starting, the bank had only 174 operative branches and a total business volume of Rs.259 crores. The Bank further merged another four banks at different times of which last one occurred in 1976. The most remarkable incident happened in the history of Indian banks in the year 1969. On the 19th. of July, 1969 the then Govt. of India nationalized 14 banks as their first step and this United Bank of India was one of the banks.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) issued notification for recruitment of Direct Sales Executive (DSE)

Candidates who wish to apply for the DSE posts must visit http://www.licindia.in/careers.htm regularly for current notification.

Salary for the DSE is Rs. 25,000 per month. For details you can go through the LIC website.

Eligibility: Candidates age must be minimum of 21 years and maximum of 35 years, relaxation as per govt. rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a graduate from a recognized university.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)

The history goes back to five decades, when Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) started functioning and it is since then that this corporation has built the name of TRUST. Candidates who wish to apply for the CBSE AIPMT 2011 Examination must go through CBSE AIPMT 2011 Exam pattern or format which is essential for better understanding of the examination.

CBSE PMT Final examination was made Objective type. Last year it was Descriptive type. 

CBSE AIPMT 2011 Preliminary Examination will be held on 3rd April 2011 (Sunday)

The examination will be of Objective type and consists of a single paper containing 200 objective type questions. Questions will come from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) and you must complete it in three hours (between 10AM to 1PM)

CBSE AIPMT 2011 Final Examination will be held on 15th May 2011 (Sunday)

Those who qualify for the final examination are eligible for this examination. The final examination consists of a single paper containing 120 objective type questions.  Questions will come from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) and you must complete it in three hours (between 10AM to 1PM)

In the Preliminary Examination, each paper carry 50 questions and each question carry four marks. Negative marking is also there. One marks for each wrong answer. So you have to be very careful while you answer a question.

About CBSE AIPMT

CBSE PMT is a pre medical entrance test, taken at national level. It’s known as All India Pre Medical Test (APIMT) and taken by CBSE. This exam is taken each year for the 15% seats available for medical and dental degree courses in Indian medical colleges. APIMT test are taken in 2 steps: Preliminary Exam and Final Exam

Eligibility:

·    You must pass the Higher Secondary Examination with minimum aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Biology with English as one of the subjects.
·    You must have completed the age of 17 yrs.
·    You can opt for this entrance exam only 3 times.
·   

Admission Process:


·    You can submit APIMT entrance test form online or offline.
·    You have to pay the examination fees which may differ like this:
For General Candidate:    Rs. 400
For SC/ST Candidate:    Rs. 200
·    You need to log on to www.cbse.nic.in for online submissions. The offline submission needed to be sent to Deputy Secretary for APIMT.

The Preliminary Exam of CBSE AIPMT has 200 Objective type questions about PCBZ (Physics, Chemistry and Biology and Zoology). The duration of exam is 3 hours. (Between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM)

There is negative marking existed in this exam. For every wrong answer, 1 negative will be given.

Final Examination:
The final exam of CBSE AIPMT has 120 Objective type questions of subjects, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. The time duration is 3 hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
