All the above programmes have multi-media design, and technology aided delivery systems. These are offered through countrywide network of study centres. The University will be admitting the students for the above degree/diplomas in Management starting from January, 2011 through an Entrance Test 'OPENMAT-XXVIII' to be held on Sunday, the 22nd August, 2010 all over the country.

Eligibility for Admission

1) Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for General Category and 45% for Reserved Category.

OR

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience, or Professional Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Architecture / Law / Pharmacy; or Professional Qualifications in Accountancy/ Cost and Works Accountancy/Company Secretary ship etc. or Masters Degree in any subject

2) Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU. Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into Management Programme conducted by the institutions like CAT, MAT and State Level tests need not appear in OPENMAT. The cut off percentage for admission of these candidates will be decided by the university.

3) Non-graduates (10+2 or equivalent) with six years of Managerial/supervisory/ professional experience are eligible for taking admission into Diploma in Management only after clearing the entrance test.

NOTE: The University reserves the right to grant/deny admission to the candidates. There is no age bar for any of the above Programmes

Filled in form for Entrance Test 'OPENMAT-XXVIII' must reach the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi -110068, by Registered Post/Speed Post on or before 15th July, 2010.

IGNOU currently serves approximately 2 million students in India and 35 countries abroad in twenty one schools and a network of 59 regional centres, 7 sub-regional centres, 2300 study centres, and 52 overseas centres. IGNOU is granted the authority to confer degrees by Clause 5(1)(iii) of the IGNOU Act 1985. IGNOU is also recognised as a Central University by the University Grants Commission of India (UGC). The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognises IGNOU conferred degrees as on par with the degrees conferred by its members and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recognises the Master of Computer Applications and Master of Business Administration program of IGNOU.
