CBSE AIPMT Exam Pattern
Preliminary Examination will be held on 3rd April 2010, Saturday
CBSE AIPMT Preliminary Exam consists of 200 Objective type questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Duration : 3 hours between 10am to 1 pm
Preliminary Exam Objective test consists of following questions: (Total 200 questions with 800 marks)
Physics: Number of questions = 50
Chemistry: Number of questions = 50
Botany: Number of questions = 50
Zoology: Number of questions = 50
1 negative mark for each wrong answer.
Final Examination will be held on 16th May 2010, sunday. Objective type questions will be asked to do. Those who qualify for the Preliminary Exam will only be called for CBSE PMT Final Examination.
Final Examination consists of 120 Objective type questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Duration : 3 hours between 10am to 1 pm

About CBSE APIMT Medical Entrance Test
CBSE PMT (Pre Medical Test) is the entrance exam conducted in a national level. It is known as APIMT (All India Pre Medical Test) and is being conducted by CBSE. It is conducted every year to fill the 15% seat for medical/ dental bachelor’s degree courses in the medical colleges in India and which is run by the state Govt, Union Govt and other local and state authorities except the Jammu and Kashmir medical colleges. APIMT test are conducted twice: i.e. preliminary and Final Examination.
Courses which are being offered are:
• MBBS – Bachelors of Medicine and surgery
• BDS: Bachelors in Dental Surgery
Eligibility:
The candidate who wants to opt for this entrance test must have the passing certificate Higher Secondary Examination with the minimum aggregate 50% in Physics, biology and mathematics along with English subject as an option. He/she must complete 17 yrs of age. Candidate can try out 3 times for this entrance test. But student who are form Andhra Pradesh and J&K.
Admission process:
A candidate can submit the APIMT entrance test application for by online or by offline. Candidate has to pay some cost of form and it cost differs according to the candidates category. 400/- for General category and 200/- for SC/ST category. And for online submission candidate has to visit www.cbse.nic.in . This offline submission should be sent to Deputy Secretary of APIMT.
