Recruitment of probationary Officers (PO) (500 positions) at Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) 2010-2011
PSB invites Indian citizens for appointment of officers in JMGS-I, MMGS-II and MMGS-III.

Dates which candidates must remember:
Last date for receipt of application (for specialist officers and probationary officers): 23rd february 2010
Last date for receipt of application from candidates residing in far flung areas (for specialist officers and probationary officers): 3rs march 2010
Tentative dates of written test (for specialist officers/probationary officers): 9th may 2010/ 16th may 2010
Age as on 1st january 2010 must be minimum 21 years old and maximum as under

Technical officer
Civil engineers, JMG Scale-I, scale of pay (likely to be revised) – Rs. 10000-18240*/-, no of vacancies – 02, Age as on 1st january 2010 – minimum 21 years, maximum 30 years
Mechanical engineers, JMG Scale-I, scale of pay (likely to be revised) – Rs. 10000-18240*/-, no of vacancies – 02, Age as on 1st january 2010 – minimum 21 years, maximum 30 years

PSB Officers Exam ELIGIBILITY: as on 1st january 2010
Probationary officer (JMGS-I): Graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks
Chartered accountant (MMGS-II): Graduate of any recognized university with a pass in the final examination of the institute of chartered accountants of India (ICAI)
Technical officer (JMGS-I): Degree in engineering in the respective field of civil/mechanical/electrical
EDP officer (MMGS-II): Degree in engineering in the field of computer science/IT or MCA
EDP officer (MMGS-III): Degree in engineering in the field of computer science/IT or MCA
Before applying for the posts candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria and other norms etc (Refer advertisement for more details)
Selection Procedure: Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and/or interview taken together
The written test consists of objective tests + descriptive paper:
Probationary officer
(i) Test of reasoning ability,
(ii) Quantitative aptitude,
(iii) General awareness,
(iv) Computer knowledge and
(v) English language and descriptive paper of English composition
Technical officer and others
(i) Test of reasoning ability,
(ii) Quantitative aptitude
(iii) General awareness
(iv) English language and descriptive paper of professional knowledge
Candidates should know that there will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the objective tests, ¼th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer, will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
Interview: A certain number of candidates will be called for interview on the basis of aggregate marks in the written test.

Candidates are required to apply on prescribed application format, which can also be downloaded from bank’s website www.psbindia.com. The duly filled in applications are to be sent by ordinary post at the following address.

For Probationary officers: Post box no. 7502, Motilal Nagar post office, Goregaon (West), Mumbai 400104

The Punjab and Sind bank was founded in 1908.

I am a student of 6th semestervof BCA my percentage in 10th is 75 in 12th 62 and upto 2nd year my % is 71 iam from ST category my result will declare in june 2010 amI eligible for PO this year
