Bank of India (BOI) recently published notification for Probationary Officers (PO) exam.
Candidates should know well about PO Exam Selection process, Exam pattern etc and accordingly go through previous years sample papers, solved question papers etc.

Selection process: consists of written test (400 marks) and Interview (100 marks). Written test consists of Objective and Descriptive type of questions. To be selected for BOI PO Interview, one must secure minimum qualifying (cut-off marks) etc. For more details please go through the Bank of India (BOI) PO Notification.
Written test pattern: Written test paper consists of Objective paper (300 marks in 2 hours) and Descriptive paper (100 marks in 1 hour)

About Bank of India
Group of well-known businessman established Bank of India on 7th September, 1906 in Mumbai. After around 65 years in 1969, the bank was nationalized with other 13 banks. The bank started its first branch in Mumbai with 50 employees and Rs.50 lakhs capital funds. Today, Bank of India is country’s one of the leading banks and have achieved many awards.
Initially, there were 3 banks which incorporated to form current Bank of India. Unfortunately, names of the founders of the bank are not available but a group of Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Parsis helped to establish current bank. It came out as first bank of India with Indian investors to serve various communities of India.
With over 3101 branches across the country, there are 141 specialized branches. 48 Zonal Offices control these branches. Bank also has 29 branches abroad. In year 1921, BOI made agreement with Bombay Stock Exchange to manage its clearing house. In 1946, the bank opened its first foreign branch in London. BOI was the first bank to do so.
After the successful start, bank opened more foreign branches in major cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta, New York, San Francisco etc. In 1970, National Bank of South Yemen included BOI’s nationalized branch in Aden, to work under title National Bank of Yemen. Above all, it is the only Indian bank in the country. With opening of branch in Paris in year 1974, BOI gained achievement as first Indian bank in Europe.
Bank of India is founder member of SWIFT i.e. Society for Worldwide Inter bank Financial Telecommunication in India. Achievements in field of cost-effective financial processing and communication services are facilitated by this society. On 7th September, 2006 bank completed its first hundred years. Bank offers all facilities like savings, loans, and e-banking and is serving customers without any complaints for last century.
