Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the appointment of two Temporary Teaching Assistants to handle Postgraduate (PG) subjects in the Department of Bioinformatics, duration of six months (with a break in vacation) in the academic year 2010-2011.

The selected candidates will be paid a consolidated pay of Rs.8, 000/- per month. They are not eligible to claim any other benefits except the consolidated pay.

Interested candidates may apply to the Head of the Department of Bioinformatics with their Bio-Data on or before 6th August 2010.

Eligibility: M.Sc Bioinformatics / MCA / M.Sc Computer Science/ M.Sc IT/ M.E Computer Science with minimum 55% marks

UNDERGRADUATE ASSOCIATESHIP IN PHYSICS AND
BIOPHYSICAL SCIENCES

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for selection of Undergraduate Associates under the auspices of the Centre for Advanced Research and Education (CARE) of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Kolkata. Candidates from the first or second year Science undergraduate programme (B.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Biological Sciences) in 2010 who have secured at least 85% marks in Science and Mathematics and at least 80% in aggregate in Class XII Board Examination are encouraged to apply. Recipients of similiar fellowships need not to apply. The final selection amongst the short listed candidates may involve an interview where the candidate needs to display resourcefulness, passion for scientific research as well as mastery of scientific concepts.

Selected Undergraduate Associates will be exposed to short term courses and laboratory training through short projects under the guidance of assigned mentors for a total period of about 60-90 days. During this period they will receive a stipend (@ Rs. 150/- day) along with a book grant of Rs. 6000/- per annum. A travel allowance will also be given for outstation Undergraduate Associates. The programme is for the undergraduate years. On successful completion of the programme, associates will be issued a certificate. A few of the Undergraduate Associates may be selected as Graduate Associates of SINP if they pursue Masters Programmes in Basic sciences. On successful completion of the M.Sc. course with First Class or equivalent grades they may be considered for absorption as Research Fellows of SINP with the usual fellowship.

Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) December 2010

CSIR will hold Joint CSIR-UGC test Junior Research Fellowships & Eligibility For Lectureship (NET) December 2010 Exam on Sunday the 19th December 2010.

The Application Form and Information Bulletion for this test will be available in the designated branches of Indian Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) from 10th August 2010 to 30 August 2010.

For the test, the candidate will have the option to apply either through Application Form available in the aforesaid bank branches or apply Online at our website WWW.csirhrdg.res.in between 10th August 2010 to 30th August 2010.

The candidate desirous to apply online will be required to deposit Examination fee through Bank challan in any of the Indian Bank branches throughout the country . Multiply application or fee submitted in any other mode will be summarily rejected.

The last date for receipt of duly completed OMR application and duly completed hard copy of online submitted application form, with all enclosure to be sent to the Sr. Controller of Examinations, Examination Unit, HRDG, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, pusa, New Delhi - 110012 is 5 P.M. on 3rd September 2010 (9th September 2010 for remote areas).

3.    The educational qualifications and experience required for the post of Assistant Professor is as under: -

Essential Qualification:
1.    A recognized Dental Qualifications (BDS) included in schedule Part I of Dental Council of India. 
2.    A recognized Post Graduate Degree (MDS) in the concerned specialty.
3.    At least three years teaching experience in a recognized teaching Institution in the concerned specialty as
/Lecturer/Tutor/Registrar/ Demonstrator/ Senior Resident after the requisite postgraduate degree qualification.
4.    Age Limit:     
Up to 45 years.  Relaxable for Government Servants, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and
 Other Backward Classes candidates.  Upper age limit up to 5 years is relaxable for Scheduled
Castes, Scheduled Tribes and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.
5.    Other terms & Conditions
1.    The appointment of shall not confer any right or preference for regular appointment.
2.    In case regular candidate joins, the appointment shall automatically stands terminated.
3.    No claim for any service benefit like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority &
 Promotion etc. from this contract appointment will be admissible.

2.2 Age Limit: 21-35 years as on 1st May 2010

2.3 Remuneration: Consilidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 15000/-. No other allowances will be payable. However, he/she will be eligible for TA/DA for undertaking Official Tours.
