The National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) invites applications for recognition of teacher training courses for the academic session 2011-2012, except the states and UT as indicated in para 2 below. Applications in the prescribed form should be submitted ONLINE to the concerned regional committee along with necessary fee and documents as prescribed in the NCTE regulations, 209 from 1st August 2010 to 30th September 2010 only.
2. The NCTE, with a view to achieve planned and corordinated development of teacher education system and in order to regulate the growth of teacher education at all levels, has decided , on the basis of statewise study conducted on Demand and supply of teachers and also in consultaion with the Sate govts./UTs, not to accept applications for recognition of teacher training courses including additional intake to the existing recognised courses for the academic session 2011-2012 in the following states/UT for the specified against each:

6. Kerala BEd. D.P.Ed., B.P.Ed.
7. Madhya Pradesh BEd., B.P.Ed.
8. Maharashtra D.El.Ed., BEd. B.P.Ed.
9. Puducherry D.El.Ed., BEd. B.P.Ed.
10. Punjab BEd., B.P.Ed.
11. Rajasthan BEd., B.P.Ed., Shiksha Shastri, B.Ed.
12. Tamil Nadu D.El.Ed., BEd. D.P.Ed., B.P.Ed.
13. Uttar Pradesh BEd., B.P.Ed.
3. The above restrictions will not apply in case of Minority Educational Institutions established under article 30 of the constitution.
4. This step is being taken by NCTE for the academic session 2011-2012 as a temporary measure.
