Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
Union Public Service Commission or Federal Public Service Commission literally called UPSC, large constitutional body of India who’s main task to conduct various civil service exams. The British Indian Government set the first public service commission in October 1st 1926.The commission is composed of chairman and ten sub members. Present Hon’ble Chairman of UPSC is Prof. D.P Agarwal. Only the president of India has a right to appoint hon’ble chairman and its members. The president of India analyzes annually report submitted by UPSC committee of their work, later it sent to parliament for discussion.
The Union Public Service Commission adds major roles in their committee, that duties are ruling the Indian constitution. This constitutional body created under article their primary role is to conduct competitive exam, which is known to be the toughest exam. Procedure of civil service examination to select candidates by having to section of examination, preliminary exam which consist of two papers i.e general studies and optional subject. Once candidates pass through this stage, selected candidates undergo Main examination. It consists of nine papers. According to merit seats candidates’ shortlists for the interview. Selected candidate should undergo written objective types and practical’s to prove them to go for final phase of interview. Annually conducting examination of civil service is very challenging one for aspirants. Once they serve the country as civil servant they have to obey duties with full responsibility. Appointed officers will nominate for promotion according to their service. UPSC will also look into the matter of pensions and reimbursement. UPSC has important role for conducting civil service exams. Students who are passing out today will be controlling administrative section of the country tomorrow. And they are handling big responsibility of Indian government and due to their progress country will be progressing.
