Vijaya bank probationary clerks


Vijaya bank written test consists of four papers in Objective test (260 marks in 95 minutes)

Test of Reasoning Ability (50 questions carrying 80 marks)
Numerical Aptitude (50 questions carrying 80 marks)
Test of Clerical Aptitude (50 questions carrying 50 marks)
Test of English Language (50 questions carrying 50 marks)

Descriptive test consists of 5 compulsory questions carrying 100 marks of 1 Hour)

Candidate must score minimum of 40% in Descriptive test

What is the minimum qualifying marks?

For Written Test it's 30% in each paper (objective) and total of 40% marks out of 260 marks
For Interview it's 40% minimum qualifying marks out of 75. 

Final selection of candidates are based on written test and interview. Marks scored in Descriptive test is not considered for ranking.

About Vijaya Bank

Vijaya Bank , founded by a group of enterprising farmers and Shri A.B Shetty in October 1931, is now a bank with a huge network across the country. When it was found , the main objective was to promote banking habit, thrift and enterpreneurship among the farming community of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka State. The bank became a scheduled bank in 1958. Vijaya Bank grew steadily by merging nine smaller banks into it between 1963-68. The different kinds of special savings accounts provided by Vijaya bank includes :

1.    V-Gen U th , a savings accounts designed specially for children, for 1 yr. age onwards. This account is clubbed with many facilities  like reduced interest rates in education loan for future etc.

2.    V_Balika Savings Bank Account, a savings account designed for SC/ST girls below 16 years of age , with the objective of encouraging higher education amongst them.

3.    V- Platinum savings Bank Account, wherein different minimum balances are to be maintained according to the kind of place the customer is living in such as metropolitans, rural  or urban areas. This scheme essentially aims at providing certain add-ons to the Savings Bank Customers who maintain the certain minimum balances in their accounts.

The Bank has chosen Finacle from Infosys as centralised banking solution. In line with the prevailing trends, the bank has been giving greater thrust towards technological upgradation of its operations. With time Vijaya Bank is growing at a very fast pace.
