Recruitment for the posts of Constable (General Duty)


Applications are invited from male Indian Citizens, resident of the following states for filing up of vacancies for the year 2010 on temporary basis likely to be permanent, shown against each state for the post of Constable (General Duty) Group 'C' in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. The post has all India liability and selected candidates shall be governed by the ITBPF Act and rules. The last date of receipt of applications is 22nd September 2010 for all states for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladak Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of HP,for which the last date is 29th september 2010.

Pay Scale:  Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- P.M. + Other Allowances

10% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for EX-Servicemen.

Age Eligibility: Between 18-23 years (Cut Date for determining the age will be 1st August 2010. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST by 5 years and for OBC by 3 years.

Educational Qualification: Matriculate or 10th Class pass from a recognised Board/University/National open School.
