Applications in the prescribed forms are invited for direct recruitment to the following posts by 27th January, 2011 (3rd February, 2011 in respect of applications received only BY POST from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur,Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub-division of Chambadistrict of Himachal Pradesh, A & N Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad).

ADVERTISEMENT NO. 01

INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS

1. (Vacancy No.11010101308) One Assistant Professor (Geography) in IMA

Dehradun, Ministry of Defence. The post is reserved for ST candidates.

Qualifications :

Essential : Educational : i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree level in Geography from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission. 

NOTE : I : The candidates who have been awarded Doctorate Degree or have passed the Master of Philosophy Examination in the concerned subject are exempted from the requirement of Educational Qualification (ii) above.

NOTE : II : A relaxation of five percent marks from fifty five percent to fifty percent at the Master’s level for the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category.

NOTE : III : A relaxation of five percent from fifty five percent to fifty percent may be provided to the Doctorate Degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991. 

NOTE : IV : A relaxation of five percent from fifty five percent to fifty percent may be provided at the Master’s level to candidates who have cleared the Junior Research Fellowship examination conducted by University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research prior to 1989. 

NOTE : V : The grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F shall be regarded as fifty five percent of marks wherever the grading system is followed.

DESIRABLE : Proficiency in games or cultural activities. Experience in Military

training/National Cadet Corps or Scouting. Proficiency in English in the concerned subject.

DUTIES : To teach cadets in his subject as per the training programme and syllabus. In addition, to participate in social, cultural and extra curricular activities of cadets. May be allotted special duties such as Superintendent Examinations, OIC Academic Results etc. HQ : Indian Military Academy, Dehradun or anywhere in India.

2. (Vacancy No.11010102308) One Assistant Professor (Mathematics) in IMA

Dehradun, Ministry of Defence. The post is reserved for SC candidates.

Qualifications : Essential : Educational : i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree level in Mathematics from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission.

3. (Vacancy No.11010103308) One Assistant Professor (Political Science) in IMA Dehradun, Ministry of Defence. The post is reserved for ST candidates.

Qualifications :

Essential : Educational : i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree level in Political Science from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission. 4. (Vacancy No.11010104308) One Assistant Professor (History) in IMA Dehradun, Ministry of Defence. The post is reserved for SC candidates.

Qualifications :
Essential : Educational : i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree level in History from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission.

5. (Vacancy No.11010105408) Four Assistant Directors (Cost) in Junior Time Scale in the Indian Cost Accounts Service, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Office of the Chief Adviser Cost. Of the four posts, one post is each reserved for SC & ST candidates and remaining two posts are reserved for OBC candidates. The post are also suitable for Physically Handicapped [Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor disability / Cerebral Palsy(both legs affected / one arm affected / one leg affected) or Hearing Impairment (Hearing Handicapped)] candidates.

Qualifications : Essential : Educational : A qualification recognized for enrolment in the Register of Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India or equivalent. Desirable : i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Three years’ experience in Cost Accounting Work. Duties : Cost Analysis / Cost Examination.

6. (Vacancy No.11010106408) Three Assistant Directors, Grade-II(Non-Technical) in the cadre of Weavers’ Service Centres & Indian Institutes of Handloom Technology under the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles. Of the three posts, one post is each reserved for ST & OBC candidates.

Qualifications :Essential : A. Educational : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience : Three years’ experience of administration, accounts and establishment work in a supervisory capacity in a Government Office or a Public Body or a Commercial Organization of repute.

Desirable : Knowledge of Government rules and regulations. Duties : To deal with the work related to Establishment, Administration, House Keeping, Budget, Accounts, Vigilance and Coordination. Any Other Condition : The post is covered under Contribution Pension Scheme introduced by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance w.e.f. 01-01-04.

b) Posts at Sl. No. 6 are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.

3. PAY SCALE & CLASSIFICATION : (Figures in bracket at the end of the pay scale indicate the approx total emoluments(per month) excluding TA and HRA at the minimum of the scale).

a) Rs.15600-39100+Rs.6000 (Academic Grade pay)(T.E. Rs.31320 ) Group ‘A’ Gazetted for the posts at Sl.Nos.1,2,3 & 4 above.

b) Rs.15600-39100+Rs.5400(Grade pay) (T.E. Rs. 30450) Group ‘A’ for the posts at Sl.No.5 above.

c) Rs.9300-34800+Rs.4600(Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.20155)Group ‘B’ Gazetted for the posts at Sl.No.6 above.

4. AGE LIMIT AS ON NORMAL CLOSING DATE :

a) Not exceeding 40 years for the posts at Sl. Nos.1,2,3 & 4.

b) Not exceeding 40 years for SC/ST candidates and not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates for the posts at Sl. No.5. c) Not exceeding 30 years for the posts at Sl.No.6. N.B. The age limit shown against Sl. Nos.1 & 3 is relaxed age limit for ST candidates. The age limit shown against Sl. Nos.2 & 4 is relaxed age limit for SC candidates. The age limits shown against Sl. No.5 are relaxed age limits for SC/ST & OBC candidates. The age limit shown against S.No. 6 is normal age limit and only in this cases age is relaxable for ST candidates upto 5 years & upto 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacanciesreserved for them. AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME. For age concession applicable to other categories of applicants please see relevant paras of the Instructions to Candidates for recruitment by Selection.

NOTE : Candidates with disabilities[ as indicated against Item(s)] can apply to the respective posts even if the post is not reserved for them. However, such candidates will be considered for selection to such post by general standard of merit. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation and other relaxations as permissible under the rules

5. HEADQUARTERS: At places specifically stated against certain posts,

otherwise anywhere in India or aboard.

6. PROBATION: The persons selected will be appointed on probation as per rule.
