Eligibility:

Admission Criteria: The following are the criteria for admission to B.Tech

Programs:

i)Pass in 10+2/12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2011 or 2010 subject to securing the following percentage of marks in specified subjects.

A minimum of 60% marks aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt

ii) Score obtained in GAT (UGT) 2011.

Note: Students who are appearing for 10+2/12th examination in 2011 or who passed 10+2/12th Examination in 2010 only are eligible. Students who passed 10+2/12th examination in 2009 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT (UGT) -2011.

The filled-in application along with the DD for Rs.1,000/- (Rs.600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam from any scheduled bank, should be sent to the Director-Admissions, GITAM UNIVERSITY, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam-530 045, A.P., INDIA.

Online Tests at different Centres: 16th April to 5th May 2011

Announcement of Test Results: 12th May 2011

About GITAM University

GITAM University, India, established its other campus, in Hyderabad, near Rudraram village (about 12 km from Patancheru, Medak). This campus admitted its first batch of students in the year 2009, and the second batch in 2010.

The Institute has 20 regular staff members consisting of three professors, 1 associate professor, 15 assistant professors and one lecturer.

The faculty has industrial, research and teaching experience at national and international level. Out of 20 teaching faculty, eight are PhD’s in Mechanical Engineering, Management, Physics, Chemistry and English, remaining are M.TECH/MCA.
