Applications are invited for ONE post of Accounts Officer in the Institute.
Qualifications :
Essential :
Master’s Degree in Commerce (Regular Course) with minimum 55% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University.
Sound knowledge of Computers and Accounting Packages like Tally (Latest version).
Desirable :
a) Preferably a CA / ICWA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed Institution.
b) Ability to work independently.
c) Good oral and written communication skills in English.
d) Knowledge in Kannada.
Experience :
7 to 10 years experience in Auditing, Accounting, Budgeting and Taxation in a reputed Research Establishments / Educational Institutions / Big Establishments.
Age Limit :
1. Normally below 50 years.
2. Age is calculated as on the last date prescribed for receipt of completed applications.
3. Proof of age is SSLC/Transfer Certificate.
4. Age limit may be relaxed without any limit in the case of employees of the Institute.
5. In case of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Backward Tribes and Backward Classes candidate, the age limit is relaxable up to 5 years. These candidates should produce attested copy of Caste Certificate and in the case of BCs/OBCs, the income certificate also.
6. Physically Handicapped person may also apply and will be given relaxation as per the rules.
Pay Scale :
Accounts Officer (Pay Band-3) - Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 + AGP Rs. 6000/-
(Total Salary at the minimum of scale is Rs. 34,860/-)
Duration :
The appointment is for five years on contract basis. At the end of this period, based on the evaluation, the candidate will be offered permanent position or contract extended or terminated.
General Information :
a) Mode of Selection shall be through interview by a Selection Committee.
b) The Selection Committee reserves the right of rejecting any or all applications without assigning any reasons therefore.
c) The decision of the Institute in all matters would be final and binding and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained.
d) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
Selection Procedure:
Preference may be given to candidates with higher educational qualification.
Mere satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. Depending upon the number of applications received, the Institute reserves the right to call only a limited number of candidates after preliminary screening with reference to their qualifications, age, suitability, experience etc.
The Selection Committee may relax age criteria in exceptional cases and also consider suitable candidates from outside the list of applicants. The Selection Committee may also recommend higher basic pay in deserving case.
The Institute reserves the right not to recruit any candidate if no suitable candidates are found.
The candidates not fulfilling the age criterion may also apply subject to their applications being open to be considered only in the event of no suitable candidate from among those who fulfil the age criterion being available.

Completed applications with copies of testimonials should be sent in an envelope superscribing “Application for the Post of Accounts Officer” and should reach the undersigned at the address below on or before February 18, 2011. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained and the Institute takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or loss in postal transit of any communication or application.
