RECRUITMENT OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGERS AND BIO-MEDICAL ENGINEERS IN E.S.I. CORPORATION
Applications in the prescribed form are invited for filling up the post of Supply Chain Managers and Bio-Medical Engineers in ESI Corporation by
direct recruitment on regular basis. The break up of vacancies is as under:
1) Supply Chain Manager
Scale of Pay: PB-3 of Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA with specialization in Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
Experience: 3 year Experience in Logistics Management especially in Health Care/Drug Distribution.
2) Bio-Medical Engineer
Scale of Pay: PB-3 of Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering from recognized institute.
Preference will be given to experienced persons who have served as Bio-Medical Engineer or above in Central/State/Public Sector Undertakings or Institute of repute.
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. The candidate should have sound background in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and have specialized Bio-Medical Training.
Experience: 1 year Experience in a reputed hospital in the requisite field.

ESI Act
The promulgation of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 envisaged an integrated need based social insurance scheme that would protect the interest of workers in contingencies such as sickness, maternity, temporary or permanent physical disablement, death due to employment injury resulting in loss of wages or earning capacity. the Act also guarantees reasonably good medical care to workers and their immediate dependants.
Following the promulgation of the ESI Act the Central Govt. set up the ESI Corporation to administer the Scheme. The Scheme, thereafter was first implemented at Kanpur and Delhi on 24th February 1952. The Act further absolved the employers of their obligations under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 and Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923. The benefit provided to the employees under the Act are also in conformity with ILO conventions.
