The Institute for Plasma Research is a premier scientific institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India devoted to research and development activities in the areas of basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic Confinement fusion and industrial applications of plasmas. Applications are invited from highly motivated and result oriented candidates for the posts of :
1) SCIENTIST – SC
Total Number of Posts : 01
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE : M.Sc. Physics (First Class) having minimum one year working experience. Candidates having experience in modeling using neutronic codes will be preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION : The selected candidate will need to work in neutronic analysis for Fusion Blanket systems design and analysis using neutronic codes.
2) ENGINEER – SC (MECHANICAL)

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: B.E. / B.Tech. B.Sc. (Engg.) (First Class) in Mechanical Engineering having minimum one year working experience in Engineering Design & Analysis.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The selected candidates are expected to in various areas of Detailed Engineering Design & Analysis and commissioning of different SST-1 diagnostics. Commissioning work will involve interface of UHV vacuum chambers, support structure with SST-1 Tokamak and their related issues.
3) JR. HINDI TRANSLATOR
Total Number of Posts : 01
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE : M. A. in Hindi / English, with English / Hindi as a compulsory / elective subject or as medium of examination at Degree level OR Bachelor's Degree with Hindi and English as compulsory / elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory / elective subject, plus a recognised Diploma Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central / State Government Offices, including Government of India Undertakings.
JOB DESCRIPTION : The selected candidate is expected to contribute significantly to implementation of the Official Language Act in the Institute and the work involves translation of circulars, general orders, reports, various administrative forms, etc. and co-ordination with the Hindi Cell of the Government Departments.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
PAY SCALE : SCIENTIST / ENGINEER-SC: Pay Band 3 (PB-3) Rs. 15600-39100 with basic Grade Pay Rs.5400/- (Gross Pay Rs.34650/- p.m.)
PAY SCALE : JR. HINDI TRANSLATOR : Pay Band 2 (PB-2) Rs. 9300-34800 with basic Grade Pay Rs.4200/- (Gross Pay Rs.22275/- p.m.)
Only Indian Nationals need apply. Those who have applied for similar posts in the past one-year need not apply. The persons with disabilities can also be selected on their own merit against the unreserved quota.
The number of vacancies indicate above are provisional and may be increased / decreased depending on the actual requirement of the organisation.
AGE LIMIT : 35 years and relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST candidates, 3 years for Other Backward Class and 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.
