Applications in prescribed forms are invited for the following posts on contract at this Institute :
SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS (GRADE- II)
Scale of Pay : PB3 : ` 15600-39100, Grade Pay = ` 5400
(i) Centre for Environment (2 posts)
(ii) Dept. of Chemical Engineering (1 post)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
Centre of Environment: PhD in Environmental Science / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Environment (those likely to complete PhD
shortly may also apply) OR MTech in Civil / Chemical / Biotechnology.
Department of Chemical Engineering: MTech in Chemical Engineering (with basic degree in Engineering).
In both cases, candidates should have experimental skills and relevant hands-on experience with sophisticated analytical
instruments.
General Information :
1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per the current roster (SC–1, OBC–1, UR–1) and relaxation of age as per GOI rules.
3. The number of posts may vary.
4. Age of the candidate should preferably be below 35 years.
5. Persons employed in Govt./Semi Govt. Organisations/Autonomous Bodies should submit their applications through their employers.
6. Degree as referred above are those which have been awarded by recognized University / Institution.
7. Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for written test/skill
test/interview.
8. Appointments will initially be made on contract for a period of three years and likely to be extended based on performance.
9. Prescribed application forms are obtainable from the Admn. Section or from our website www.iitg.ernet.in or www.iitg.ac.in.
Application in the prescribed form only will be considered.
10. Incomplete applications or application without self attested copies of certificates or received after the last date are liable to rejection.
11. Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/ Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.
12. Last date for receipt of completed application forms is 28.04.2011
13. Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
