Bank of India is a public sector bank having head office in Mumbai invites application for the following posts:

Written Examination : 26th September 2010 (Tentative)

Last date for submission of application : 5th August 2010

VACANCY: Clerical Cadre


Total Number of Vacancies: 2467

Age Eligibility: Applicant's age must be minimum of 18 years and maximum of 28 years as on 30th June 2010
(Applicant’s Date of Birth should not be prior to 01/07/1982 & after 30/06/1992. Also refer Para ‘4’ for relaxation of age.

Pay Scale: Rs.7200 - Rs.19300 + DA, HRA, CCA, Conveyance Allowance. Gratuity, Pension, LFC, Medical Aid etc.

Academic Qualification:


(1) Pass with 50% marks in the aggregate, either in the Higher Secondary School (HSC) Examination or Standard XII under the 10+2+3 pattern or Standard XI under the 11+4 pattern or its equivalent of recognized Educational Board, acceptable to the Bank.

Written Exam Pattern: Objective Type
1)Test of Reasoning & Numerical Aptitude: 100 questions carrying 200 marks
2)Test of Clerical Aptitude: 50 questions carrying 50 marks
3)Test of English Language: 50 questions carrying 50 marks

Composite 90 Minutes Duration: 200 questions carrying 300 marks

Note : In order to qualify for interview the candidate is required to obtain minimum 40 % marks in each objective test (35% marks for Reserved Category) and 50% marks in all the Objective Tests taken together. (45% marks for Reserved Category).

Written Exam Pattern: Descriptive Type

Higher order cognitive abilities to assess knowledge on current developments and communication skills: 60 minutes
5 compulsory questions with internal options for 100 marks.
Minimum Passing Marks -50% and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.

Note: The above Descriptive Test is only a qualifying in nature and not reckoned for merit ranking, i.e. one must obtain a minimum of 50% marks and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category but the marks so obtained are not added in the aggregate marks for preparing merit list.
