The Director, RINPAS invites candidature from citizen of India to appear in interview for following pure temporary posts on 29-01-2011 at 11.00 AM in office of the undersigned.

RESEARCH OFFICERS:

Psychiatry: - 4 Posts (2 Gen, 1 ST, 1 OBC) Clinical Psychology: - 3 Posts (2 Gen & 1 ST) Psychiatric Social Work:- 2 Posts (1 Gen & 1 OBC)

In the Pay Band of Rs. 9300 - 34800 (PB-II) + Grade Pay Rs.4200+NPA (NPA for medical doctors only) and other allowances as applicable.

Qualifications - MD(Psychiatry)/DPM or two years of working and research experience in a psychiatric setup after MBBS. Ph.D Clinical Psychology / M.Phil (M&SP). Ph.D in Psychiatric Social Work/ M.Phil (PSW) respectively.

General Instructions: 

(1) NOC must be submitted at the time of interview by employee of Govt./Semi Govt. organisation. 

(2) Typed application with Bio-data, self attested photocopies of certificates/ Testimonials, recent passport size photograph etc. along with non refundable demand draft worth Rs. five hundred only in favour of ‘Director RINPAS’ payable at Ranchi must be brought at the time of interview. 

(3) All the above posts are on total three years tenure basis and appointment is initially for a period of one year extendable on yearly basis. 

(4) Posts may be increased. The appointed individual will have no locus standie for regularization or absorption either in RINPAS or in Govt. of Jharkhand on the basis of above posts. 

(5) Those who have already worked on above posts will also be considered only if their total duration has not crossed three years.

Note: In case of nonavailability of suitable candidates from the reserved category, the candidates from General Category may be considered for a period not exceeding six months.

BRIEF HISTORY OF RINPAS

The history of this institute dates back to 1795 A.D. when the Lunatic Asylum was established in Munghyr near the court premises south of the Ganges River. It was shifted to Patna in November 1821 and was located at Patna Collegiate School. Subsequently the Lunatic Asylum was shifted to present location at Kanke, Ranchi in the last week of April 1925. Nomenclature of Lunatic Asylum was changed to Indian Mental Hospital (IMH). Captain J.E. Dhanjibhay was the first Superintendent of IMH. The male wing started functioning on 4th September 1925 with 110 patients. The female wing started functioning with 53 patients on 19th September 1925. Gradually patients from Dacca (Bangladesh) and Berhampur (Orissa) were transferred here. There were 1226 patients on 31st December 1925.
