BS-MS Dual Degree Programme
Eligibility:
Candidates satisfying at least one of the following three criteria may apply:
1. KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana): Students qualified in SA (2009)/SX (2010}/SB (2010)/SP (Passed 10+2 in 2010/2011)
2. IIT-JEE 2011: Students obtaining a minimum of 60% marks in Class Xll and securing a rank in the regular merit list.
3. State/Central Board: Students qualifying in Class XII in 2010 or 2011 in Science Stream. The cut-off percentage for INSPIRE fellowship of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) to be used for the boards for Class X and XII are given in http://www.inspire-dst.gov.in/Inspire-Advertisementpdf. For OBC (non-creamy) a 5% relaxation of the DST cut-off is tenable. The cut-off for SC/ST is 60% in Class X and Class XII for all boards. All state/central board students must also qualify in the Joint USER Science

Reservation policy of Government of India will be followed for admission to IISERs.
Scholarship
All admitted students are eligible for a monthly scholarship of Rs. 5000/- awarded by INSPIRE/KVPY
scheme of DST, subject to continued good academic performance.

Applications for admission are to be submitted online at www.iiser-admissions.in. Please follow the Instructions for filling up the application form and other relevant details given in the website. There will be a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST).

About IISER Pune
The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), and the related National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) are a group of premier institutes being created by the Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (India) (MHRD), to promote education and research in the sciences. Five IISER's have been currently planned across the country in the following locations -- Kolkata in West Bengal, Pune in Maharashtra, Mohali in Punjab, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The financial outlay for each IISER is around Rs 500 crore for the first five years. The NISER is being set up in Bhubaneswar for a slightly higher outlay of 800 crores.
