Eligibility:

Honours Degree or its equivalent in any discipline/ Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, etc.), LLB (5 years) of a recognized University. Those who will be appearing in such examination within June 2011 may also apply.

Selection: Through COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT) of IIMs. IISWBM uses CAT for short listing the candidates. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. To appear in CAT minimum 50% marks is required, in Bachelors.

How To Apply:

Application Form and Brochure: Available from September 06, 2010, from the Reception Counter of IISWBM on cash payment of Rs.1200/ - or against Bank Draft of Rs. 1300/- payable on any bank at Kolkata in favour of IISWBM. Application form may be downloaded from our website.

For admission to IISWBM, one has to apply to CAT and also apply separately to IISWBM for which Brochure and Application Farms are to be obtained from IISWBM.

About IISWBM 

The Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (IISWBM) is a graduate business school in Kolkata, India. It is the first institute in India to offer an MBA degree of any Indian university (as XLRI, the oldest management institute in India, did not offer MBA degrees ever since its inception). It was established in 1953.

IISWBM was set up in collaboration with the Government of West Bengal, the University of Calcutta and the business community of West Bengal to promote management education. The MBA, MHRM & MPSM courses are affiliated to the University of Calcutta,in fact the MBA program of the institute is affiliated to the University for more than 50 years.

The institute celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2003 and the Government of India released a commemorative stamp on IISWBM to celebrate the event. Till date, no other management institute in India so far has been accorded this honour.
