RECRUITMENT OF TUTOR

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. Employees’ State
Insurance Corporation proposed to recruit the teaching faculty i.e Tutor in ESIC Dental College & Hospital, Sector-15, Rohini, Delhi-85 on direct recruitment basis. The maximum tenure of post is three years subject to satisfactory work & performance.

Name of Post: Teaching Faculty (Dental) Subcadre Posts:- Tutor

Scale of Pay: PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- plus nonpracticing allowance

Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years

Educational & other Qualification: Essential:-
1. A recognized BDS degree of Indian University or an equivalent qualification with at least one year experience, preferably in a recognized hospital.

2. Must be registered with Dental Council of India.

Mode of Selection:-
The selection for the above posts will be on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the Selection Board at ESI Hospital, Sector-15, Rohini, Delhi-85. However, ESIC reserves the right to change the centre, if need be.

The list of eligible candidates with their Roll Numbers and date , time & venue of Interview will be available on the website of ESI Corporation (i.e. www.esic.nic.in/recruitment.htm) by 01-02-2011(Afternoon) and no enquiry or correspondence in the regard will be entertained.

ESI Act
The promulgation of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 envisaged an integrated need based social insurance scheme that would protect the interest of workers in contingencies such as sickness, maternity, temporary or permanent physical disablement, death due to employment injury resulting in loss of wages or earning capacity. the Act also guarantees reasonably good medical care to workers and their immediate dependants.

Following the promulgation of the ESI Act the Central Govt. set up the ESI Corporation to administer the Scheme. The Scheme, thereafter was first implemented at Kanpur and Delhi on 24th February 1952. The Act further absolved the employers of their obligations under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 and Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923. The benefit provided to the employees under the Act are also in conformity with ILO conventions.
