Following posts are to be filled up under Indo-US Project entitled “Evaluation of progesterone vaginal ring (PVR) as a new contraceptive option in India”, funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), at the Central Coordinating Unit, Division of Reproductive Health & Nutrition, Indian Council of Medical Research, Ramalingaswamy Bhawan, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi – 110029

Technical Assistant (One)

Salary : Rs. 19,481/- (fixed)

Qualification : Essential: Three years graduate degree in relevant subject (Statistics/Mathematics) with 2 years experience

Age : up to 30 years (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules). Relaxation of age for experienced and deserving candidates also admissible.

Nature of duties : He/she will be responsible for data management and will keep account of data received from the collaborative centers and help the scientists at the Coordinating Unit in identifying missing and incomplete data. He/ She will help in maintaining record of all the correspondence between the site-investigators and coordinators related to the data of the study. He /She will help the Coordinator and scientists in the project including liaison work with DBT scientists for external monitoring.

Technical Officer A (one)

Salary : Rs. 22,532,/- (fixed)

Qualification : Essential : Three years graduate degree in relevant subject (Statistics/ Computer Science) with 5 years experience

Age : up to 30 years (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules). Relaxation of age for experienced and deserving candidates also admissible.

Nature of duties : He/she will be responsible for data recording. He will keep

account of data and rectifications received from the collaborative centres and help the scientists at the Coordinating Unit and assist in data synthesis. He /She will help the Coordinator and scientists in the project in tabulation of data for compilation of interim reports. He/she will also provide support to the administrative staff. Frequent travel is envisaged during the study period.

The posts are to be filled up on purely temporary basis. The appointment is terminable with one month notice from either side without assigning any reason. Since the post is purely temporary the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project. Age relaxation is for SC, ST & OBC candidates as per Govt. Rules. Relaxation of age for experienced and deserving candidates also admissible. No TA/DA etc. will be given to attend the walk-ininterview/ discussion.
