2) Scientist – C
Total Number of posts : 02
Scale of Pay : PB – 3 Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6,600.00/- P.M.
Age Limit : Candidates age must Not exceed 40 years as on 31st March, 2011
3) Scientist – B
Total Number of posts : 03
Scale of Pay : PB – 3 Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- + Grade Pay Rs. 5400.00/- P.M.
Age Limit : Candidates age must Not exceed 35 years as on 31st March, 2011

The prescribed application forms for all the above posts are available on our Website www.wihg.res.in .Interested candidates can download the application form from our Website and should submit their applications on the prescribed form only, failing which the application is liable to be rejected. Attested photocopies in support of educational qualifications and experience etc. MUST be submitted with the application form. In case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category, attested copies of Caste Certificates MUST be submitted with the application form. Candidates already working elsewhere MUST route their applications through proper channel.

About Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology (WIHG)
History
Established in June, 1968 as a small nucleus in the Botany Department, Delhi University, the Institute was shifted to Dehradun during April, 1976.
Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun is an autonomous research institute of the Department of the Science & Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
Initially named as the Institute of Himalayan Geology, it was renamed as the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology in memory of its founder, the late Prof. D. N. Wadia (F.R.S. and National Professor), in appreciation to his contributions to the geology of the Himalayas. During the last quarter century the Institute has grown into a centre of excellence in Himalayan Geology and is recognised as a National Laboratory of international repute with well equipped laboratories and other infrastructural facilities for undertaking advanced level of research in the country.
