Recruitment to the post of Associate Professor in Pharmacology for the ESIC Dental College at ESI Hospital, Sector-15, Rohini, Delhi-110085

ESI Corporation, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India invites applications for the post of Associate Professor in Pharmacology for ESIC Dental College at ESI Hospital Sector-15, Rohini, Delhi 110085, for appointment on Contract basis only for one year (not extendable). The number of vacancies and other details are given below:-

1) Associate Professor

Educational qualification :-
Essential for Medical Candidates:-

I A recognized medial qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of the educational qualification included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section13(3)
of the Act.

II A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/ discipline.

Essential for Non Medical Candidates:-

I A Post graduate qualification i.e. Medical Masters Degree in the concerned subject allied
discipline.

II A doctorate degree of a recognized University in the concerned subject/ allied discipline.

NOTE:- The respective subject/ allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of schedule 1 of the MCI – “ Minimum qualifications for teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”).

Age:- Upto 63 years as on 29/03/2011.

Scale of Pay :-
PB-IV, Grade Pay Rs.8,700/- plus Non Practicing Allowance as admissible

Venue and Date of Interview:- Office of Dean, ESIC Dental College & Hospital, Sector-15, Rohini,
Delhi-85 at 10.00AM on 30-03-2011.

MODE OF SELECTION:- The Selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the Selection Board which will be held at Office of Dean, ESIC Dental College & Hospital, Sector-15, Rohini, Delhi-85.

How to Apply:- On the prescribe date of walk-in-interview, eligible and willing candidates should report to the authorized representative of the ESI Corporation in the Office of Dean, ESIC Dental College & Hospital, Sector-15, Rohini, Delhi-85, along with the application form duly filled in as per format appended below and enclosing necessary attested copies of all the certificates at 10.00 AM sharp on the date of interview. Candidates should also bring original certificates including proof of date of birth for verification at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

FEE:- Application has to be submitted with a relevant fee of Rs.200/- in the form of demand draft as detailed below:-

For General /OBC candidates : Rs.200/-

SC/ST/Women Candidate : nil

Demand draft should be issued by State Bank of India with validity of six months in favour of “ESI Corporation, Account No.-1” payable at New Delhi. Payment of fee by any other mode will not be acceptable.

Candidates employed in Govt./Semi Govt. Autonomous bodies should bring NO Objection Certificate from their employer.

The following testimonials etc. should be attached with the application form:-

1. Two copies of recent passport size photographs duly attested with one photograph pasted on the application form.

2. Attested copies of certificates and testimonials, proof of age/date of birth, educational qualifications and experience etc.

3. Two self addressed envelopes with postal stamps of Rs.25/- on each.

4. Demand draft should not be tagged or stapled but should be pinned or clipped at the top of the application form. The name and address of the candidate and the post applied for should be written on the reverse of the demand draft.

ESI Act
 
The promulgation of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 envisaged an integrated need based social insurance scheme that would protect the interest of workers in contingencies such as sickness, maternity, temporary or permanent physical disablement, death due to employment injury resulting in loss of wages or earning capacity. the Act also guarantees reasonably good medical care to workers and their immediate dependants.
