WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Applications  are invited from the eligible candidates for engagement  as  Lecturer  to teach the following courses on contract basis on fixed emolument of Rs. 20,000/- per month. The details of the posts and the number of positions are given below. The desirous candidates having minimum qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may attend walk-in-interview along with their bio-data and all the certificates and mark-sheets in original and copies of the same in support of qualifications and experiences, etc.  in the Holkar House, BHU on 06.01.2011 at  10.00 A.M.

Pos Code 01 Journalism & Mass Communication
Pos Code 02 M.A. Tourism Management 

Qualifications :

E.Q.(a) (For post code 01 & 02): Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. 

E.Q. (b) (For post code 02 only) Master degree in Tourism Management /MTM/MTA.  OR  MBA in Tourism Management  

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. 

Note:- Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, exemption from the requirement of the minimum eligibility criteria of NET/SLET/SET shall be given as per UGC Regulations on Minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education 2010 and as per the relevant  directions issued by UGC in this regard.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), is a Central university, located in Varanasi, India, which is also the largest residential university in Asia, with over 12,000 students living on its campus. BHU was founded in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and under the Parliamentary legislation, 'B.H.U. Act 1915'.
The campus spread over 1350 acre (5.5 km²) campus was built on land donated by then Kashi Naresh.Besides, it has its Rajiv Gandhi South Campus on a bigger land 2,760-acre (11.2 km2) at Barkatcha near the city of Mirzapur , about 80 kilometers from the main campus.
