The Punjab Public Service Commission invites Applications from eligible Candidates for recruitment to 08 Posts of Assistant Architect in the Department of Public Works (Architecture Wing), Punjab.

Positions:

1) Assistant Architect

Total Number of posts: 08

PAY SCALE : Rs. 15600-39100 plus 5400/- Grade Pay

AGE Eligibility: Candidate should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age on the 1-1-2011.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

(i) Should possess a degree or a diploma equivalent to degree in Architecture

recognized by the Council of Architecture Constituted under the Architects Act

1972.

(ii) Should have been registered as Architect under the Architects Act 1972.

(iii) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.

Candidates may download application from www.ppsc.gov.in and submit to the Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, Baradari Gardens, Patiala on or before on 17th January 2011 along with fees and documents.

About Public Service Commission (Punjab PSC) 

The Joint Public Service Commission, the precursor of the Punjab Public Service Commission, with its writ running from the Khyber Pass to the Jamuna near Delhi, was born at Lahore on May 1,1937. In the wake of the Partition, the Punjab Public Service Commission resurged in February, 1948, at Shimla with its revised jurisdiction extending over the then province of East Punjab. Following the merger of the States of Punjab and Pepsu, it shifted to Patiala on Nov.1st,1956. On 1stNov1966, its territorial jurisdiction again decreased due to the formation of the States of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
