National Conference
The National Conference on ‘Advances in Pharmaceutical Technology and Drug Research’ hosted by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences, Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy, was organised at Central Campus SVIET, on April 18, 2009 and inaugurated by Prof. P. Rama Rao Director, NIPER, Mohali. The inaugural session of the conference was followed by release of the abstract book, in which selected abstract were published. The other dignitaries at the conference were Dr. Saranjit Singh, Dean NIPER; Prof. A. K. Madan, Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Mr. Anil Arora, VP (Works), Piramal Healthcare, Baddi and Prof B.S. Bhoop, Dean, PU, Chandigarh and Mr. Gopi Reddy, GM, Glenmark. 204 papers were submitted by eminent researchers and scholars. The conference witnessed both oral and poster presentations.
The conference was just like a mega event and it brought the researchers, experts, academicians and students on a common platform to discuss the Advances in Pharmaceutical Technology. Our students of batch 2006 also volunteered and participated in various activities in organizing the conference as well as presented posters in the students section.
