GCET Exam Date Goa Common Entrance Test Syllabus Eligibility

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET)

GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) as well as admission procedure related to Government as well as Government-aided or un-aided colleges of Goa provide Bachelor’s Degree in different fields of Engineering, Architecture, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Medicine (Homoeopathy and Allopathic). Technical Education Directorate is authorized to practice admissions for the following seats, to which divided prospectuses are provided.

Diploma programs of Polytechnics in Goa
Direct admissions for the 2nd year Degree courses of Diploma as well as B.Sc Degree holders.
Nominations of the Government of India’s seats for Colleges of Engineering and Technology in the other States.

1st year for Professional Degree Courses include Medicine (M.B.B.S), Engineering (B.E), Dentistry (B.D.S), Homeopathy (B.H.M.S), Architecture (B.Arch), and Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) 

GCET Syllabus

GCET is usually based on syllabus approved by Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education for Standard XII (Science) test for current year in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology Mathematics, and Computer Science. 

GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) is organized to give admissions to the 1st year of professional degree courses as well as G2CET for getting direct admission into the 2nd year of degree courses in pharmacy and engineering. 

GCET would be organized within five subjects – Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics. The test will be based on the syllabus given by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education.

There will be 100% weight age on GCET results to make the merit list for a variety of professional degree courses. The eligibility criterion to get admissions in to different professional courses of degree, as well as source of preparation for merit list will be the same as it was in the previous year.
