Outsourcing of Contractual Services of Engineers.
Applications are invited on prescribed form for Contractual Services of Executive Engineers (Elect. & Civil) and Assistant Engineers (Elect. & Civil) at ESIC Hqrs. as detailed hereunder:-
1) Executive Engineer (Electrical)
Total Number of posts: 02
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 35,000/- per month
Educational and other Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized institution. Only retired persons who have served as Executive Engineer (Electrical) or above at the time of their retirement from Central /State/PSU are eligible for the post.
2) Executive Engineer (Civil)
Total Number of posts: 03
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 35,000/- per month
Educational and other Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized institution. Only retired persons who have served as Executive Engineer (Civil) or above at the time of their retirement from Central /State/PSU are eligible for the post.
3) Assistant Engineer (Electrical)
Total Number of posts: 08
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 28,000/- per month
Educational and other Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized institution. Only retired persons who have served as Assistant Engineer (Electrical) or above at the time of their retirement from Central /State/PSU are eligible for the post.
4) Assistant Engineer (Civil)
Total Number of posts: 15
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 28,000/- per month
Educational and other Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized institution. Only retired persons who have served as Assistant Engineer (Civil) or above at the time of their retirement from Central /State/PSU are eligible for the post.
* Vacancies may increase or decrease as per actual requirement and the reservation of posts for SC / ST / OBC shall be as per Govt. of India instructions.
In addition to the above consolidated remuneration, the selected candidates will be allowed TA/DA for tour undertaken for official work at rates applicable. No other perks/benefits such as HRA, CCA, Transport allowance, Medical re-imbursement, and leave with pay are admissible. Proportionate deduction will be made from remuneration for days of their absence from duty.
Age Limit: - Not exceeding 64 years as on 28-Feb-2011.
Nature of Job:- Technical vetting of bills / estimates and variations and monitoring the project.
Selection Process – The selection will be through interview to be held at Delhi. Individuals must be medically fit, motivated and dynamic to produce results in time bound projects and willing to join immediately after selection. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for interview.

and submitted in an envelope super scribed “Application for the post of ____________ Engineer ” by Registered Post / Speed Post.
b) The Call letters for interview shall be issued subsequently and on selection the candidates has to submit the Medical Fitness certificate issued by C.M.O. before joining the Corporation.
c) The application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 225/- issued (after the date of publication of advertisement) in favour of ESI Corporation, New Delhi payable at New Delhi. This should be clipped on top of the application. SC / ST / Female / PH Candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
d) The application should also be accompanied with two self-attested photographs showing candidate’s name on top of the photograph alongwith self attested Photostat copies of Diploma / Degree and educational qualifications and proof of experience in the related field and caste certificate.
e) The interview will be held at Delhi.
f) Incomplete applications and applications received after the last date will be rejected. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
g) The last date for receipt of application is 28-Feb-2011.
Merely fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not vest any right on a candidate being called for interview. Since it may not be possible to call all the candidates for interview, the applications will be short listed for the purpose. The decision of ESIC will be final. The Corporation will not entertain any correspondence in this respect.

ESI Act
The promulgation of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 envisaged an integrated need based social insurance scheme that would protect the interest of workers in contingencies such as sickness, maternity, temporary or permanent physical disablement, death due to employment injury resulting in loss of wages or earning capacity. the Act also guarantees reasonably good medical care to workers and their immediate dependants.
Following the promulgation of the ESI Act the Central Govt. set up the ESI Corporation to administer the Scheme. The Scheme, thereafter was first implemented at Kanpur and Delhi on 24th February 1952. The Act further absolved the employers of their obligations under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 and Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923. The benefit provided to the employees under the Act are also in conformity with ILO conventions.
