JIPMER 2010 MBBS Entrance Exam Pattern Notification Eligibility Application Form Online Form Offline Form Last Date How to apply

Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) issued notification for entrance exam for it's MBS course. Students can apply for the entranc exam from 25th february 2010 to 8th april 2010.

JIPMER is one of the top Medical Institute in India like CMC Vellore, AFMC Pune, AIIMS Delhi etc. There are total of 100 seats out of which 56 seats are for All India Seats, 34 for Puducherry state and 18 through Government of India nominee.

Exam Pattern:

Physics = 40 questions and 40 marks
Chemistry = 40 questions and 40 marks
Botany = 40 questions and 40 marks
Zoology = 40 questions and 40 marks
English = 40 questions and 40 marks

Total = 200 questions and 200 marks

Unlike AIIMS exam which has GK test, JIPMER Entrance Exam do not have GK test paper.

JIPMER 2010 Entrance Exam is on 6th June, 2010 (Sunday)

Important dates:

Date of entrance exam notification = 22nd February, 2010
Application period starts from 25th February, 2010 to 8th April, 2010
Last Date of receipt of offline application from is 8th April,2010
Last Date of receipt of online application printout is 15th April, 2010
Last date to receive hall ticket is 13th May, 2010
Notification of Roll number etc on 13th May, 2010

Results will be declared on 17th June, 2010

Eligibility: Minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2010

Educational Eligibility: Students should have Minimum 50% aggregate in Class-XII with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology and English. Whiel it is 40% for SC/ST/OBC. Those students who appearing in Class-XII final in March/April 2010 can apply.

Application Mode: You can apply online as well as offline also. You can get the offline application form by collection personally from JIPMER Campus, Pondicherry-605006 on all working days up to 15th April, 2010. You have tp pay fee of Rs. 850/- in cash to SBI. Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/ P-SC.

By Post: You have to send DD (of rs 850) in favour of “Accounts Officer, JIPMER” payable at any Nationalized Banks in Pondicherry/Union Territory of Puducherry. Send a request letter along with this DD and a self addressed label (13 cm x 7 cm) to, Professor (Academic), JIPMER,Puducherry - 605 006

Online Application Form Submission: Before you apply online make sure you already have DD because while you submit the application form yuo will be asked to submit DD details also.

After you submit take a print out of the form with the requisite signatures, photograph, attestations, left thumb print of the applicant and the demand draft must be sent by speed post to Professor (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry - 605 006. These must reach by 16th April, 2010.
